DJ Martini
Beyond being my resident DJ & Audio Engineer since the beginning, DJ Martini can be credited with formally introducing me to the entertainment industry in 2007, when he booked me at Club Lagoon on Broadway to help promote his dj night. At the time, I was fresh out of Seattle Central College, newly introduced to Belltown and enjoying the freedoms of turning 21. We’d been throwing house parties together for a while already, so promoting a club seemed to be a natural progression. Within a couple months, I was planning a series of events at the venue. We were set to have a DJ/Break night, a Band night, a Fashion night and a Burlesque night.
The week before my events were set to take place, the venue shut down without announcing it to any of us. Being unwilling or incapable of letting down my friends, I scrambled to find a way to host the events that were already in motion. That landed me with a single night at Seattle’s historic Rebar, where I packed all 4 events together for a last-minute save. Unexpectedly, the show turned out to a packed house. After the event, those of us who collaborated to bring it together started thinking about next steps, and that brainstorm turned into AMDEF, an annual collaboration of Art, Music, Dance, Entertainment and Fashion that ran from 2008 - 2018.
From then on, Martini and I worked together on more projects than I can count. Those projects included Music Videos, Photo Shoots, Theme Parties, DJ Nights, Variety Shows and hundreds of others. Today, Martini owns his own record label, serves as the resident Live Exclusive DJ for C89.5 FM, and produces numerous artists. Check out his work at: https://www.martinimusicrecordings.com/
